Bottom Of The Hill

A few weeks ago we played a show at Bottom Of The Hill with our good friend Michael Zapruder. Stranger Dance was on hand to cover it and said some really nice things about our set.

"Tim Williams is effectively a solo artist, but was joined on stage by a guitarist and keyboard player (who doubled on car-key percussion) who both lent back-up vocal duties. Williams’ songwriting and the trio’s tight harmonies were the star of their set."

Thank You!

best gigs of sxsw so far...

SXSW has really been a blast this year. Lots of sun, lots of booze, lots of tacos. In-between our own shows I was able to check out some other bands. Here's what kept my ears ringing:

Fanfarlo (been a fan of them for a few years, glad they're catching on!)
Roman Candle (chapel hill band, "modern day radio" song is a hit)
Keegan Dewitt (nashville songwriter, one to watch)
Motel Motel (bk band, new songs are amazing!)
Ladyhawke (marry me pip)
Old Son (matt welsh is a great songwriter and one funny motherf*&^er)
Mason Proper (label-mates and one of the most overlooked bands around)
Ed Harcourt (label-mate and brilliant songsmith)
Jacob Jones (other half of my country band, depression state troopers)
These United States (dc band that look like they're having the time of their lives at every show)
Akron/Family ("love is simple" is a great record)
Langhorne Slim (one of the best live shows around)
A Day To Remember (caught them by mistake walking to dinner - not what i usually dig but these kids can put on a show...with lots of drum triggers)

shows i missed :(

Micah P Hinson
Delta Spirit
Dillinger Escape Plan
Reno Bo
Frank Fairfield

Photos to be uploaded as soon a I can find the USB cord for my camera!
